Commonly known as Jade, Pounamu or Greenstone, New Zealand Nephrite was originally used by Maori to make weapons, tools and jewellery. Thankfully this ancient art has been handed down to the craftspeople of today. This stone has a koru (unfurling fern frond) carved into one side and the unique design has been created by Nathan. Hei Toki translates as adze pendant and signifies strength and leadership. Traditional threaded design so stone is totally secure.
